New additions to the site are photographs taken on my recent trips - An Explore Worldwide tour of Ethiopia in January at the time of the Timkat celebration, and a personal trip to Nicaragua, my first experience of Central America. In both cases I've uploaded only a small proportion of the photos I took; 229 in Nicaragua and 724 in Ethiopia - digital photography has a lot to answer for in terms of number of photos taken.
The site was originally created to allow my fellow travellers the opportunity to see thumbnails of digital photographs I took on my various Explore Worldwide tours. If any of those fellow travellers would like a copy of the full size picture they would only have to get in touch and I would then email it to them. (The easiest way to do that is to click on the thumbnail to go to a response form which will send me an email request.) Almost a year after the event, I managed to find time to upload my photos from the Adventures in Patagonia tour, Christmas 2006-07. There are 80-odd photos, selected from the 528 I took on the basis of I like the look of them, not necessarily on artistic merit, although I hope at least some do have. Later on I decided to provide links to material from other holidays, Explore or not. In 2007, I included a link to the blog I created for my Grand European Tour with Topsy. I never did get round to putting up photographs from that. To find 30 or 40 photographs, which might give the flavour of a six week journey out of the 1296 I took, proved too much. My extended sojourns on Ikaria mean my recent emphasis has been on that Island. I have now included a link to a document I created to prepare friends and family intending visiting Ikaria for the very different way of life here. Topsy and I have now set up a website for the benefit of people intending to visit or find out more about the island with a list of current events and other information for those English speaking vistors already on the island.

This site carries thumbnails of digital photographs taken by Gordon Gilmore during various Explore Worldwide and other tours.
A brief note of the location the photograph was taken is included. I would be grateful if anyone finding any of these to be in error would let me know.
